Young Children as Early Audience

 Exposing children to, and helping them discover the world around them at a young age has its benefits. It makes them curious, inquisitive, less judgemental.

   I salute parents who take young children to storytelling sessions, to theatre performamces. To me, it is magic when, each and every time, the children spontaneously join me in telling a story.

 Interactive Children's Theatre is a study in Child Psychology.    While performing, one is trying to figure out if it is age, gender, group dynamics, their evolving perception of the world around them, that shifts their thought processes, perceptions, reactions and interactions.     For example, the Goat v the Wolf. Destiny in my Hands

 I continue to believe that I am in charge of my life, my destiny belongs to how I drive it.    However, there are times in my life when this belief deserts me, at least, for a while.    It was October 2019. I was struck down with dengue; my wife was away filming in Ipoh; a new work project was proving to be a challenge I felt was beyond my grasp. Above all of this was that my 90+ mother wanted to die. She argued she had had a good life and was happy to see her children living fulfilling lives with their families. It was time to go. She was refusing to eat. (We did advise her that death doesn't come just because you wish for it).    As the days slipped by, even a wink of sleep evaded me. My heart, I figured, was pounding. I even asked the doctor for medication to help me sleep.
